At our AGM on 24 August 2023, we agreed to donate £1,000 to the following charities:
• Autism Eilean Siar;
• Caraidean Uibhist;
• MacMillan Nurses;
• Stornoway Phab Club; and
• Young Musicians Hebrides.
On 8 December 2023 HHP Chair, Gordon Macleod joined by HHP Chief Executive Dena Macleod presented a cheque for £1000 to representatives of Autism Eilean Siar.
During the presentation HHP were given some background on their organisation and some insight into how the monies would be used.
Autism Eilean Siar is a local parent-led charity set up to support anyone living in the Western Isles who is affected by autism or additional support needs. Parent/Carer support drop-ins and meeting are held monthly. Activities and events are organised for children and for adults affected by autism, outings are arranged to help aid socialisation.
HHP are committed to continuing to assist other locally-based charitable organisations and thank Autism Eilean Siar for the work they do throughout our communities.
