HHP’s Procurement Vision is to:

“Procure goods, services and works, in an open, effective, sustainable, economic and efficient manner, and in so doing, meeting the needs of the business, our tenants, and our community.”

Strategy

The Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 requires any public organisation which has an estimated annual regulated spend of £5 million or more (excluding VAT) to develop and review a procurement strategy annually before the start of the next financial year.

HHP’s strategy and performance can be found below:

Contracts

Section 35 of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014  requires contracting authorities to keep and maintain a contracts register of live regulated procurement activity, and to make this publicly available.

HHP maintains a contracts register containing the relevant information required by the Act and can be found here:

Given our remote location, and the fragile nature of the economy here, it is important for HHP to procure in a sustainable way, especially in relation to contracts that require a physical presence in the islands.

We would encourage interested companies and traders to sign up as suppliers at Public Contracts Scotland to ensure that you are included in relevant HHP procurement processes (particularly Quick Quote exercises).
